EPRO A6370D SIL3 overspeed protection module paired with PR642X eddy current probes, high-shielded cables and CON021 preamplifiers for turbine shaft speed safety monitoring in power & petrochemical plants.
The EPRO A6370D overspeed protection system cannot operate independently. Its stable speed acquisition and protection interlock rely on matched eddy current probes, transmission cables and supporting preamplifiers. Improper matching of accessories often causes false speed alarms or protection failure during long-term industrial operation.
1. Matched Eddy Current Probe Core Features
Supporting PR642X series probes adopt integrated hardened stainless steel sensing head with anti-wear and anti-corrosion treatment, and alloy steel thread sleeve consistent with rotor journal material to avoid measurement error caused by different metal permeability. The standard installation gap is 1.5mm, effective linear range ±1mm, linearity error controlled within ±1%FS after standard steel calibration, ensuring the speed calculation accuracy of A6370D within 0.1%. The probe works steadily from -40℃ to 120℃ with low temperature drift. Optional M101 and M141.5 threads fit narrow mounting holes of bearing boxes, suitable for both new projects and old equipment retrofits. It can withstand continuous vibration on turbines and compressors without signal interruption.
2. Extension Cable Material & Practical Advantages
The matched special cable uses high-purity oxygen-free copper conductor to reduce high-frequency eddy current signal attenuation in long-distance transmission. The inner insulation layer is PTFE fluoroplastic, resistant to 200℃ high temperature and various leaked oil and chemical solvents on site. Double-layer shielding structure (tinned copper braided mesh + aluminum foil full wrapping) forms 360° interference isolation, effectively eliminating electromagnetic crosstalk and ground loop voltage drift in cabinets with inverters and high-power equipment, preventing speed value jump on A6370D. Standard lengths are 5m and 9m, customizable up to 15m. LEMO self-locking plugs for vibration-intensive areas, stripped terminals for fixed cabinet wiring.
